On the occasion of the International Repair Day, the City of Biel is organising its own Repair Day on 21 October 2023 on the Zentralplatz in Biel. Our container exhibition "The mysterious world of eRecycling" and the new Circular Platform will also be there. They show why it is important to give electrical appliances a second life and how this is possible.
In Swiss cellars there are many old electrical appliances that contain valuable raw materials. Clean out your broken electrical appliances on 21 October and have them repaired by the repairers. By doing so, you give your device a second life and at the same time promote the circular economy for a more sustainable future.
At the event, you can try out the Circular Platform and also learn what happens to an electrical appliance that can no longer be repaired. Our virtual reality glasses will show you how such an appliance is professionally recycled. With the 360° all-round view, it almost feels as if you were there in the recycling plant yourself.
