Letting go works! People who let go of their broken electrical and electronic appliances quickly and dispose of them correctly make an important contribution to environmental protection.
But how does the recycling process for your old fridge, broken lamp or defective hairdryer actually work? How is it even possible to turn useless electronic waste into valuable iron, aluminium and even gold?
You can find out all about this first-hand at our “The fascination of eRecycling” event, which is coming to Bern on 1 and 2 July 2022 at the Fellerstrasse collection point run by Waste Disposal and Recycling (Entsorgung + Recycling) Bern.

Virtual reality, real people and an amazing competition
Put on a 3D VR headset, beam yourself into the middle of a recycling centre and be amazed by the innovative and groundbreaking technologies. Get a close-up view of the cutting-edge machines at work and witness how, with the help of precise manual work, they remove hazardous substances and valuable raw materials are removed from old appliances.
In the accompanying exhibition, you can find out everything there is to know about the huge environmental benefit of eRecycling and learn why Switzerland can rightfully call itself the world champion in collecting electronic waste! You will also have the chance to meet the people behind SENS eRecycling.
And, last but not least, there are also fantastic prizes on offer in our competition. We can’t reveal too much, but the lucky winner will soon be able to experience “letting go” in a very enjoyable way.
